Richard Dreyfuss, ahora de 68 años y practicamente en "the third act of life", dice que cuando muera quiere la oportunidad de abofetear a Dios, pero reconoce que Dios mantendrá la distancia. Aparte de depresivo y ególatra ("I think I have the finest body of work of any American actor"), el actor es agnóstico. Su altanera declaración puede leerse en la edición de The Guardian del domingo pasado (24 de julio de 2016). La cita dice así:

"When I die I hope I’ll have a chance to hit God in the face. If there is a God he already knows about this and he’ll get away – and as an agnostic I probably won’t get the chance. But he deserves it because of everything that happens to you in the third act of life: it’s humiliating and debasing."
