Mujeres bellas

En Nueva York uno se enamora perdida y profundamente por lo menos diez veces al día. El cuerpo se estremece, se retuerce como alambre dulce, y la mente se extravía. Parte esencial del encanto de la ciudad son sus mujeres, por supuesto, así de mágicas y fascinantes se ven. La ciudad imprime su sello en sus privilegiados habitantes. Nadie permanece inmune a su geografía. Imagino que a la larga Nueva York es una manera de ser.

Pero hablaba de sus fascinantes criaturas de piernas largas, cabellos dorados y piel de melocotón. Navegan en el aire de las calles, protegidas por un cristal que no acierto abrir, caminan en claves desconocidas, y soy un animal raro que las contempla desde el otro lado, ajeno a sus secretos.

La belleza perturba e idiotiza. No hay duda. Estas líneas son una prueba contundente.
